    About Antalya

    Overview

The beautiful Turkish city of Antalya is fast becoming a loved tourist destination for its stunning beaches and access to local Turkish culture. This stylish and modern city boasts of stunning scenic beauty and breath-taking attractions. The ancient ruins and lush mountains have ensured that visitors from all over the world notice Antalya.

The best time to visit this city is the month of April when the summer is not too harsh and there are many cheap flights to Antalya. While being modern in its ways, the old town of Kaleci in Antalya ensures that it tells it historic tale and showcases its rich art and history.

    The Antalya Holiday

If you want to witness the Turkish history then the old quarter of Kaleci is the place to be. The ancient city walls and narrow winding streets provide access to the charming and quiet ancient side of Antalya with the Minaret Yivli Minare, Saat Kulesi clock tower area, Kesik Minare broken minaret mosque, Atatürk Evi Home and the Hıdırlık Kulesi tower.

The other important attraction of the city is the Antalya Zoo and Nature Park. Tourists also love Antalya for its Aqualand, which is a large complex of waterpark and beach park in the west side of the city. This side of town also houses the Antalya Aquarium, Aktur Lunapark and the large shopping centre called Migros MMM.

The other ‘not-to-be-missed’ attractions of the city are the Perge ruins, Duden Falls, Tunek Hills, Aspendos and Termessos ruins. You can also take a short cruise on the scenic Mediterranean from the many boats on the harbour. There are a number of mosques, churches, madrasahs, masjids, hans (caravanserai) and hamams (Turkish bath) in the city.

If you are interested in museums then you can visit the Kaleiçi Museum, Atatürk's House Museum and Antalya Toy Museum.
